With slimmer frames compared to uPVC and timber, aluminium casement windows are often chosen for getting the best view of the scenery around your home. Their durability in bad weather makes them a good choice for homes in coastal or high-wind areas.

Our aluminium casement frames are available in over 200 colours, including the option of different colours for the interior and exterior. Choose from additional glass effects including lead bars, Georgian bars, bevelled designs, or bespoke decorative glass effects handcrafted by us. Glass with lead bars in square or diamond-cut shapes are a popular choice for traditional homes and pair well with dark metal window frames.

Our double-glazed aluminium casement windows have a U-Value of 1.4 W/m²K. The lower the U-Value, the better the window is at retaining heat.

To keep out draughts and help stop heat escaping, aluminium casement window frames have three seals. The external and internal seals prevent draughts and leaks, and the centre seal acts as a thermal break. A thermal break works by creating a barrier between the inside and outside of the window frame. This reduces heat transfer through the frame and allows our aluminium casement windows to be just as thermally-efficient as our other window materials.

With a high strength-to-weight ratio, aluminium casement windows are robust and resilient by design. Here are their main security features to keep your home safe:

  • Multi-point locking systems secure the window at multiple points along the frame to prevent forced entry.
  • Key-locking handles as standard provide an extra layer of security to prevent tampering or unauthorised entry.
  • Reinforced frames make them more resistant to impact and forced entry.
  • A laminated glass that is designed to be shatter-resistant can provide extra protection against break-ins.

Our insurance-backed guarantees mean they remain valid until they run out. Not all window companies offer this, so be on the lookout. Under the terms of the guarantee, you are covered for the cost of a partial or complete repair of your windows.

  • 10-year guarantee on the frames.
  • 10-year guarantee on the sealed glass unit. The sealed unit is covered in the event of a ‘blow out’, where condensation appears between the panes of glass.
  • 10-year guarantee on all hardware, including handles and hinges.

  • FENSA and Glass and Glazing Federation (GGF) accredited. This means we install our aluminium casement windows in line with the latest building regulations.

Measuring aluminium casement windows accurately is important to ensure that the new windows fit perfectly into the window opening and provide the desired performance and energy efficiency. It can be stressful to know if you have taken accurate measurements, so that’s why our surveyors will take care of this for you. Design, survey and installation are all included in the price you pay when you get a quote.

Your Questions Answered by Us

Are Aluminium windows better than uPVC?

The choice between aluminium and uPVC windows depends on what benefits you are looking for. Aluminium is a stronger and more durable material than uPVC, but uPVC windows are generally more energy-efficient and a better insulator. Both aluminium and uPVC windows are available in a wide range of styles, colours and finishes. But some people prefer the sleek, modern look of aluminium, while others prefer the more traditional look of uPVC.

What are aluminium casement windows?

Aluminium casement windows are windows that are made from aluminium frames and hinged on one side to swing outward. They are a popular type of window material for both residential and commercial properties due to their durability, low maintenance and design flexibility. As aluminium can withstand harsh weather conditions, they are often a feature of homes in coastal or high-wind areas.

Do you get condensation on Aluminium windows?

Condensation can occur on any type of window, including aluminium windows. Whether condensation forms depends on several factors, including the temperature and humidity inside and outside of your home, the level of ventilation, and the thermal properties of the window. Aluminium windows are designed to minimise condensation by using thermal breaks. These are insulating materials that separate the inner and outer frames. This helps to reduce heat transfer between the inside and outside of the window to help prevent the formation of condensation.

How secure are aluminium window frames?

Aluminium window frames are generally considered to be very secure, with many features designed to improve their security. Key features include a multi-point locking system and key-locking handles as standard. Be sure to choose a reputable manufacturer to ensure proper installation and maximise security.
