High-Performance Security As Standard

White shaped uPVC front door

Secured by Design

Our uPVC door locks are Secured by Design accredited. This police initiative encourages companies to adopt crime prevention measures when designing their products, reducing the opportunity for – and fear of – crime. It means that not only do our doors look great, but they also keep your home safe and secure.

Multi-point Locking System

Our uPVC doors have a multi-point locking system with a Yale 3-star cylinder lock. Hook bolts engage in opposite directions along the opening edge of the door, securing at multiple points and making it very difficult to force the door open.

Our Yale 3-Star cylinder uPVC front door locks have been awarded the TS007:2014 British Standard rating, the highest level currently available. Yale is so confident their locks won’t fail, they’ll give you £1,000 should anyone burgle your home due to the failure of the 3-Star cylinder.

UPVC Door FAQs

How much does a uPVC door cost?

uPVC is the most cost-effective option for those looking for replacement doors on a budget. The cost of a uPVC door depends on several factors, such as design, colour and glazing choice.

We provide a made-to-measure and custom-designed door, as well as the survey, fitting, and installation. We also offer aftercare and a 10-year guarantee on all uPVC doors. So, it’s not only a new door you’re getting, but our promise of excellent service and quality. Contact us today for a free remote quotation.

What are uPVC doors?

uPVC front doors are made using Unplasticized Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) and are sometimes reinforced with galvanised steel where required. This creates a sealed unit that is both thermally efficient and can withstand the elements. uPVC doors balance affordability and practicality.

Which door is better: uPVC or composite?

The main differences between uPVC and composite lie in the materials used. Modern uPVC doors are made from a strong and durable form of plastic whereas composite doors are made from a variety of materials that are combined using high pressure.

uPVC doors are cost-effective, easy to clean, and weatherproof, but their composite counterparts tend to be a more popular external door choice as they are more durable and thicker than uPVC. This is despite composite doors being the more expensive option.

How long do uPVC doors last?

Modern uPVC doors have a good lifespan, often lasting between 20 and 35 years. Anglian uPVC doors hold a BBA accreditation, which means they can last up to 35 years with regular maintenance and cleaning.

Can you replace a uPVC door without replacing the frame?

It’s advisable to replace a uPVC door and the frame at the same time. The Anglian installation process for a uPVC door includes a replacement door frame and the fitting of any door furniture.

What is the standard front door size?

A standard front door is usually the same size as the internal doors in your home. Standard sizes for uPVC doors range from between 550mm to 1100mm wide, and 1708mm to 2400mm high. Anglian make all doors to measure, ensuring a perfect fit every time. Book your free home visit or get a remote quotation today.

How thick is a uPVC front door?

As per UK Building Regulations, our uPVC front and back doors panels are 28mm thick. The door panels are constructed from two sheets of thick plastic with MDF, and insulation sandwiched between them. This gives a uPVC door its durable and thermally efficient structure.
