The Anglian Difference - BBA Certificates Explained

What is a BBA Certificate?

A certificate from the British Board of Agrément (BBA) is an achievement of product reliability and quality in the UK construction industry. It helps us show you that our products are not only manufactured to meet industry standards but that they have undergone independent quality checks. Consider it as a symbol of superiority when purchasing a quality product from Anglian. This article contains our current BBA Certificates and what this means if you choose to buy with us.

Anglian uPVC products with a BBA Certificate

Anglian Home Improvements is the only company to hold the BBA certification for the entire conservatory construction. Our conservatories have been tested for their structural integrity, air permeability, water tightness, and the effects of wind resistance and snow loads. It covers the White Knight uPVC conservatory with a floor area of up to 30m2, attached to a building and installed at ground level. Our BBA-Certified conservatories will function satisfactorily for more than 25 years.

The quality of our uPVC conservatories comes from the multi-chambered design, strengthened with galvanised steel reinforcement to provide the necessary load-bearing capability. Together with the welded joints, this all adds up to extra strength. Even with a glass conservatory roof, the structure is designed to take the required snow loads.

uPVC Casement and Tilt & Turn Windows

Our White Knight casement and tilt and turn windows have been accredited by the BBA confirming the durability of the uPVC extruded profiles will function satisfactorily for a period of more than 35 years.

uPVC Front & Back, French and Patio Doors

Our White Knight uPVC residential, French and patio doors have been accredited by the BBA confirming the durability of the uPVC extruded profiles will function satisfactorily for a period of more than 35 years.

For security, our uPVC doors are fitted with a Yale 3-star cylinder lock and use a multi-point locking system that bolts and locks the door into its frame. It is secured in a minimum of three different places from top to bottom.

uPVC Full Rooftrim System

Our White uPVC rooftrim system has been assessed and should function effectively for a period of more than 20 years.

What does the BBA Certificate test for?

BBA certification tests include checking things like ease of operation, maintenance and durability, along with quality control tests on the uPVC compound, extruded uPVC profiles, and the fabrication of the wall frames and roof system.

A symbol of superiority

Let it be no secret that these are our own products, made at our UK uPVC manufacturing facility. We have invested in these certifications so that you know when you buy from us, you are getting a product designed to last the test of time.

Our commitment to quality and service does not end with our long list of accreditations. Our uPVC products have a 10-year guarantee, which extends to 15 years for Ultra gas-filled sealed units.

We strive to produce the best home improvement products in the UK, leaving you to focus on creating the home of your dreams. Get a price for your project today.
