As we know the song says “You’ll always find me in the kitchen at parties”, but what about making use of your conservatory? For many of us entertaining at home at this time of year is a great opportunity to return those summer party invitations. As we get closer to Christmas there is no better way of entertaining a group of friends than in the comfort of your home.
Whether it is a simple buffet, drinks party or a more lavish supper invitation for a sit down meal we all like to be able to accommodate friends in an entertainment area in our homes.
For a sit down meal it is sometimes better to be able to clear a room of larger items of furniture and set up a table and chairs with plenty of room around them to be able to circulate.
The conservatory is a great location for this. With a tiled or wooden floor the room is easier to clean should there be any spillages and the room’s furniture is possibly lighter to move to another room, therefore making it a great entertainment area.
Leaving an extra side table in the room can assist when clearing the table of excess items, but it also gives you somewhere to leave the cheese and biscuits, chutney and that decanted bottle of home made sloe gin ready for everyone to enjoy.
Conservatories make great entertainment areas, what ever the time of year and weather. They are light airy spaces that give the illusion of being outside, but at the same time enjoying the warm climate inside, without getting wet and cold at this time of the year.
A conservatory has its own beauty within its style and design and it needs minimal decoration to make you feel comfortable while using it.
Being able to offer a seat on which guests can sit down comfortably following a meal for me is important. It enables people to relax and enjoy their evening after eating and perhaps over indulging, rather than remaining seated at the dining table or standing around.
Which ever ways around you decide to plan your evening dining room we are sure that you will have great time with your friends.
