Anglian Home Improvements and Norwich City Football Club Unite to Tackle Food Poverty in Norfolk

For the second-year running, Anglian Home Improvements is joining forces with Norwich City Football Club to host a major food drive in support of Norfolk Community Foundation’s Nourishing Norfolk programme. The initiative will take place at Carrow Road on Saturday 29 November, ahead of the Canaries’ home game against Queens Park Rangers F.C.

Football fans and local residents are being challenged to help surpass last year’s incredible effort, which provided 1,500 meals and raised over £2,000 for families in need. This year, Anglian aims to go even further and thanks to the Match£d for Chang£ initiative, every £1 donated will be doubled from a £50,000 match fund, making every contribution go twice as far.

How to Get Involved

From 12pm to 3pm on the 29th November 2025, Anglian Home Improvements vehicles will be stationed outside the Norwich City Club Retail Store and the Jarrold Stand, ready to collect donations. Volunteers will be on hand to thank supporters and share more about the campaign.

The charity is particularly in need of long shelf-life, nutritious items, including:

  • Tinned fruit and vegetables
  • Chopped tomatoes
  • Soup and baked beans
  • Tinned meat (e.g., corned beef, stew, chilli)
  • Tinned fish (e.g., tuna, mackerel, sardines)
  • Ready meals (e.g., ravioli, macaroni cheese)

Every single item donated helps the 26 Nourishing Norfolk food hubs provide affordable, healthy food to families across the county – with dignity and choice.

Why It Matters

Nourishing Norfolk is a lifeline for thousands of families struggling with rising living costs. Its network of 26 food hubs has already helped over 35,000 people, saving families up to 40% on their weekly shop and offering vital support such as cooking tips and budgeting advice.

Rachael Munby, Chief Marketing Officer at Anglian Home Improvements, said: "Many Norfolk families are under immense pressure, especially during the colder months and festive season. By joining forces with Norwich City and the Norfolk Community Foundation, we hope to make a real difference. Every pound donated will be doubled, so your generosity goes even further."
