Norwich RFC 24 – Sudbury RFC 10
On a filthy, wet and windy afternoon at Beeston Hyrne, Norwich RFC entertained Sudbury RFC at home.
Following a demoralising defeat at Canvey Island last week, Norwich had had time to cogitate the previous game and were determined to come back with a win…..and they were not going to disappoint.
The team were definitely more focused and were back on form for this week’s game.
JC Brown trying to escape his collar being felt
Rob Micklethwaite being caught beside the touch line
Mark Fernie trying his hardest to break through
Jonny Wheater with the first try
Dave Micklethwaite throwing the ball out
With the gloom of the winter evening closing in fast, both teams created and lost opportunities, but Norwich were pleased to come out on top.
Although disappointed at not getting a bonus point, with two tough games leading up to Christmas the team will happily take the win.
Well done to Norwich, final score Norwich RFC 24 – Sudbury RFC10
