Big Energy Saving Week Summary

By on 31st October in Home Inspiration

Last week was Big Energy Saving Week; we had some great fun and lots of advice to share with you, hopefully helping you to save some money and do your bit to become more energy efficient.

During Big Energy Saving Week we offered you the chance to win an energy savings pack by sending us your energy saving tips. We have had some great responses and the winners of the packs will be selected later today. As for the competition to win £7,000 worth of Anglian windows, we have decided to extend it until this Saturday to give you the chance to get your energy idea sent to us. We recommend as it is half-term getting one of your children, your nieces or nephews, cousins or any youngsters you know to send us their energy efficiency ideas – they could send us a picture of an invention or send us a handy hint to save energy. To inspire them we have created an Energy Smart booklet, which educates whilst having fun! It has been a fun-filled week in the world of social media as Queen of Easy Green participated in a Twitter takeover, tweeting as Anglian for half an hour with some energy saving tips and answering your green questions.

Then on Friday we had a Twitter discussion with British Eco Limited. We discussed numerous ways to improve your home to make it energy efficient and also went through a few entries into our competition to get British Eco’s views on the tips we were receiving. It is safe to say they were impressed with your entries so far! Our Twitter discussion was a great success and many of you got involved, sharing your ideas and joining in with the green conversation.
