Garage Conversion – Unusual Idea!

By on 16th June in Our Company News

Now, I have had numerous “good” ideas for garage conversions in the past, but none quite compare to one I saw recently!

A man from Yorkshire converted his garage into… a room for his Ferrari! “Well that’s still what I would call a garage” you might say, but this is no normal room. It is in fact a living area for him and his car!

Jon Ryder built the conversion himself in roughly a month, with the aim always being a relaxing living area, for him, the TV and his 355 Spider Ferrari, which is regarded as one of the best sports cars to drive.

Jon’s wife (yes he is married!!) now admits it’s a comfy lounge and garage, but I’m sure she was worried when he first set out on this one man mission.

The room is decorated in a modern look, with plain walls, charcoal tiled flooring, and a black leather sofa in front of a white rug and the all important TV to complete the look. The garage door is covered by big, draping curtains, and if I didn’t know it, I wouldn’t think there was a garage door behind it!

I won’t be converting a room for my 206 anytime soon, but if you have done anything unusual with your garage conversion, we would love to hear from you! Leave a comment of your story and share with all of us. 🙂

  • Amazing!! It’s a great idea, A garage cum a living room can be possible, but the proper innovative plan should be there.
