2016 promises to be a big year for GB athlete Charlie Grice and Anglian is right behind him as one of his sponsors. Last year he made the 1500m final in both the Commonwealth Games and European Championships and he has continued his fantastic progress this year by reaching the final of the 1500m at the World Championships in Beijing in August (the only European to do so!).
Before heading to New York to run in the Fifth Avenue Road Mile in September (in which he finished 7th), Charlie spoke to The Standard to express his thanks for the support we have given him: “I am so happy that you guys will continue to support me in the lead up to the Olympics in 2016. When we first started the association in 2012 I was a young aspiring athlete with goals of representing my country at senior level. I have progressed through the ranks getting my first taste of senior competition last year and now my aim is the Olympics in Rio next year. After the event in New York I will be returning home to start my winter training.”
