With a cold winter looming, a study from uSwitch.com has revealed that many homeowners are worried about the effect it will have on their energy bills.
uSwitch.com discovered that 20 of us are already struggling to pay the bills, and winter hasn’t properly kicked in yet.
As this fact comes to light, it has also become apparent that 73 of us are trying to cut back on our energy costs, with many of them not turning the heating on at all throughout last year! Extra jumpers, cardigans and duvets must have been out a lot in these households during the cold months.
Despite this shocking statistic, there has been some good outcomes, like some people investing in double glazed windows and doors, to increase the energy efficiency of the homes.
There has also been an big increase in the amount of solar panels being bought, greening up your home and in some cases giving you a financial return, whilst reducing your energy bills.
