The Royal Horticultural Society, Britain in Bloom competition has come to a close, but here are some pictures of Bristol in Bloom, who received £150 funding from Anglian Home Improvements.
The Bristol in Bloom team have been working hard on an orchard situated behind Rosebery Terrace, with around 40 volunteers planting a variety of fruit and nut trees, including apple, pear, quince, mulberry, plum, cherry, walnut and hazel.
However, the gardening doesn’t stop there, as they have also been creating a herb garden beside Cabot Tower. They cleared out a bed to allow a variety of herbs and fruit bushes to grow, meaning all of the community will have easy access to a variety of home grown herbs and fruits.
Bristol was the Large City category winner at this year’s Britain in Bloom, winning Gold!
