So, another year and another classic car rally at the Anglian Windows Sports & Social Club! Taking place last Sunday at the club and its grounds in Norwich, I popped down to see what beauties were in store for us in 2010. Don’t worry – being the only member of the online team here at Anglian with a great passion for cars, I wasn’t too fussed to be working on a Sunday
Similar to last year’s car rally it was drizzling most of the day but the faces I saw were far from drab. Everyone seemed to be having a great time, whether it was checking out the old Ford Capris in their various shades of 70s beige, trying to get in that Italian Job pose with the vast number of Minis about or just simply admiring the diversity of different car models to see.
There were various stalls selling food and drinks as well as a raft of people selling their old wares, but I am sure you’re all mainly hoping for a few pictures of the aforementioned cars! So without further ado, here is a selection of pictures I took on the day…
On our travels round we also saw a rather nice vintage 1985/86 5.3L 12V Jaguar XJS, which was for sale for just over £2000. With only 93,000 on the clock it looked like a bit of a bargain but I managed to stop myself getting carried away when I saw how many more cars there were to visit 😉
There were loads more cars around and I’ve posted some more pictures for your viewing pleasure below.
The Anglian Classic Car rally happens every year in June and we hope to see you all there in 2011 for more car spotting and stories! Hope you enjoyed the pictures!
