Why choose secondary double glazing?
Secondary double glazing is an easy option if you want to reduce draughts and heat loss and improve insulation against traffic, aircraft and other noise pollution, all without replacing your windows: particularly important if you live in a listed building or cannot make changes to the exterior of the property.
Anglian’s secondary double glazing system uses sturdy extruded aluminium alloy sections and 4mm thick glass.
The moving panes are sealed to the frames using long lasting woven polypropylene weather piles, held in captive grooves so they slide easily and keep the heat in and weather out.
The great benefit is that we can fix them to virtually any size window, they’re almost completely invisible from the outside and, because they are made specifically to fit your existing windows, they're manufactured to be an unobtrusive improvement to your home.
There are a number of styles too, to match your windows. If you have a single opening casement window, we can make you a hinged unit, or a horizontal sliding unit for two to five casements.
All the panels slide, which makes them really easy to open and close.
If your windows are sliding sash, we will make you vertical sliding secondary glazing. They all operate with spring balances so they can be easily opened. They also have a tilt facility, which makes them easy to clean too.
We even make fixed panes or lift out units too.
