Base construction
A building’s foundations are a vital element of its construction and, because of its importance, enormous care goes into the design and construction of the base for your new Panoramic Extension. Every single base is individually designed to suit your property and its environment. We will survey the area where your Panoramic Extension is to be sited and assess such things as soil type, water table, drainage runs etc. so that we can determine the most effective design of base and foundations.
Every Anglian Panoramic Extension is erected on an insulated base. We have introduced this best practice across all our bases. The efficient, 75mm layer of insulation will keep your Panoramic Extension markedly warmer in winter and cut out the risk of rising damp.
There is also a thick damp-proofing membrane and damp-proof course that cover the whole of the base of the structure.
Roof trusses
As well as the base, the roof trusses for your Extension will also be designed and tailor-made specifically for you. They are constructed using galvanised steel plate connectors at every joint which makes them extremely stable.
If you have selected a design of Extension with an open, vaulted roof with timbers visible from below, the trusses will be planed and sanded to an attractive finish.
Each Anglian roof truss is certified to BS 5268 pt3 to comply with the Building Regulations and is sourced from sustainable resources accredited by PERC, FSC, CSA and SF. Furthermore, if you live in a vulnerable area, your trusses will be treated against the possibility of an infestation of Longhorn Beetle which has a penchant for untreated roofs.
