Britain in Bloom Enthusiast Retires

By on 1st August in Garden

Nigel Bishop is retiring from his position as Head of Parks for Warwick District Council after 46 years in horticulture. He is a major advocate of the RHS Britain in Bloom campaign, and has worked closely with community groups to encourage commitment.

Nigel is also a horticultural advisor to Shropshire Horticultural Society and the Shrewsbury Flower Show. His enthusiasm has been infectious in engaging the community in projects promoting horticulture, conservation and education. He leaves a legacy of four important parks and was also responsible for the restoration of nine local nature reserves for future generations to enjoy.

We got a picture with Nigel at the very special Naked Garden at this years Hampton Court Flower show.
