As sponsors of the club, Anglian Home Improvements were just as relieved as the Norwich City players, manager and fans when the team finally got a win after going 9 games without earning 3 points!
This could prove a vital win and keep the Canaries out of a relegation battle. They took on Everton on Saturday and needed a last gasp goal to seal the points.
Norwich came close early in the match when Hoolahan put in Snodgrass, but some last ditch defending by Distain saw the ball loop just over the bar. Norwich keeper Bunn made a decent save moments later from a good shot by Seamus Coleman.
Everton grabbed the lead on the 39th minute from a header by Leon Osman, who popped up to nod in a Leighton Baines cross.
Hoolahan was replaced by Anthony Pilkington in the second half and his flair created opportunities for Norwich. After a great run from Pilkington he earned Norwich a corner, which was whipped into the box by Snodgrass and met by the head of new signing Kei Kamara.
Norwich were not done there though as they pressed Everton back and stole a goal in the 94th minute. Russell Martin’s cross from the left was nodded on by Bassong and flicked into the net by Canary captain, Grant Holt. Carrow Road erupted!
It was a perfect finish for Norwich City and Anglian Home Improvements were proud to give the Man of the Match award to Sebastien Bassong, for another sterling performance.
