From being on the back foot to driving mauls

This weekend saw Norwich Rugby Football Club welcome Braintree RFC and their travelling fans to Beeston Hyrne.

With a tough game expected from a strong visiting side, Braintree got their first touchdown within the first minute of the game. Although a shock to Norwich they got back into the game and kept up the pressure by creating their own chances to prevent their opponents getting into the game. The half time score of 21 – 5 pleased the home team.

Norwich stared the second half pretty much as they had started the first half, on the back foot.  Conscious not to give any ground Norwich turned up the pressure in the last quarter of the game.  The home team followed with some excellent driving mauls into the opponents half and Norwich finished the game in jubilant mood.
