Pre-season has gone well for Norwich. They played Peterborough who are two leagues higher than Norwich last week and lost 17-0, which could have been a lot more, but for a massive defensive effort.
This weekend Norwich entertained Lowestoft & Yarmouth in another friendly on Saturday.
The game was played in four 20 minute sessions to enable changes to be made at the end of each session, because of Norwich’s shortage of front row players. Three of the sessions were played with uncontested scrums.
At the end of the first session the score was level at 7 points a piece, both sides scoring good tries.
After the second session the visitors led 12-14, but Norwich took the lead in the third session which they did not relinquish after a well taken try by winger Martin Culham and conversion by Rob Micklethwaite.
In the final session Norwich added two more tries, one from Jordy Walker and a fine individual effort from 17 year old scrum half James Brown a fine individual effort.
Walker’s try was converted by Micklethwaite for Norwich to run out as comfortable winners.
