Final day of judging today with Martyn Hirds and Jeff Bates heading to Derry City.
The team will meet the Mayor of Derry, before moving onto Foyle Street Park to meet the ‘horticultural warriors’.
They will visit the New Public realm in the city centre where there a lots of hanging baskets and planters. Martyn and Jeff will also go to St Agustine’s Garden on the city walls, a pleasurable walk with a lovely view of the city.
Bishop Street Peace Garden is a community allotment that will be viewed by the judges as well as holding the title of “Local Private Gardens” winner from the regional competition last year!
The final place they will visit is the Pennyburn play-trail which is a children’s nature trail and allotment.
