Tibenham Airfield held its annual Charity run on Sunday 25th September, all in aid of the East Anglian Air Ambulance. There were 5 brave Anglian employees who decided to take part in the event.
David Downes, Steve McGillivary and Joe Snowdon were going all out to complete the whopping 10 kilometres, whilst Hollie McCluskey and Lynsey Wood respectively chose the 5k run, all in the name of raising money for charity.
David, Steve and Joe all completed the full 10k in respectable times, were all shattered by the end of it and aching today! Steve got the best time with 56.25 minutes, Joe was second with 57.16 minutes and David was third just under the hour with 59.20.
After the race David said, “We would like to thank everyone for their support and generosity, but also remind people that it’s not too late to make a donation to the East Anglian Air Ambulance.” If you would like to donate to the East Anglian Air Ambulance then please click here.
Hollie McCluskey and Lysney Wood, running the 5k completed the course in a respectable 41 minutes, which they were very pleased with. Despite not doing too much training recently, I think they did a great job in achieving that time, although today Hollie is feeling a little bit sore.
She said how the weather was a bit of a burden. It never remained the same, one minute you were running into the wind making it 10 times harder, the next you were being bathed in gorgeous sunshine, but either way they did their best!
From everyone at Anglian we would like to say a big well done on completing this run and in respectable times!
