This Saturday saw Eaton Golf club hold a charity dinner at Norwich City Football Club in the top terrace to celebrate their centenary year and raise money for charity.
With 300 people attending and guest speaker, ex-cricketer Geoff Miller presenting the charity auction, it was no surprise that when the Anglian Home Improvements box at Norwich City was up for grabs, it had quite a few interested fans.
With the starting bid at £450 and many people interested, it quickly went up in value, eventually coming down to two individuals battling it out. The winner has generously given £1000 to charity for the privilege of the box at Norwich, where they will experience the fine food, brilliant seats and great atmosphere created at Carrow Road.
The money will go to Save the children, Parkinsons society and many other charities. Eaton Golf Club has raised a staggering £7000 so far in their centenary fund raising year, a great help to all of the charities involved, I’m sure.
Pictures of the lucky winners, enjoying their day in the Anglian box will be on the Anglian Blog November 8th.
