- Stage 1 - Initial site survey and inspection
- Site visit and survey
- Subsoil and ground condition inspection
- Survey of drainage and other services
- Survey surrounding trees and plants to identify potential future damage to the driveway
- Stage 2 - Post-excavation inspection
- Check the standard of excavation
- Check the ground conditions
- Check all debris has been cleared and removed
- Check the drainage 'soakaway'
- Check heights and levels
- Check for correct installation of edge restraints
- Check all correct materials are on site
- Health and safety check
- Stage 3 - Laying inspection
- Check the sub base
- Check compaction
- Laying of blocks to specification
- Drainage and manhole covers to specification
- Check steps, risers and treads
- Health and safety check
- Stage 4 - Final inspection
- Inspect the completed job
- Check joint filling sand applied
- Check final compaction
- Ensure all waste is removed and site left clean and tidy
- Confirm client is happy
