All our uPVC doors
come as standard with a range of high-performance security features so that,
with your doors shut and locked, you can feel safe inside your own home.
Each door comes factory installed into its door frame* and
is fitted with robust hinges and locking mechanisms which, with the overall
strength and rigidity of the leaf and frame, makes for a door that is extremely
secure.
The excellent multi-point locking system, which varies
slightly between the different door materials, locks the door firmly into the
frame in at least three positions, passing through strong steel keeper plates
and penetrating deep into the frame. This makes the door almost impossible to open
without a key. Each of these bolts is hook shaped preventing the door from being
levered out of the frame. On our PVC doors,
the multipoint locking system incorporates three steel hook bolts, which are
activated by a highly advanced security feature – a handle that resists
levering or tampering and a cylinder lock from Yale, one of the world’s top
names in security systems, that’s anti-bump, anti-pick, anti-drill and approved
to BSEN1303:2005.
This level of security will not only deter the opportunist
thief but also create a more secure barrier against the more determined
criminal.
